This was taken during one of our groceries shopping at Rochor.

I Wet My Bed!

February 19th, 2009 by Jayden

I fell asleep early last night, with mama massaging my back. Little snores could be heard. Not sure how long later, I was in dreamland and I started dreaming that I was in the pool splashing my hands wildly, enjoying myself.

Then I got wet, very wet! And I woke up from my dream cos I pee on my bed. :(

Papa’s fault. He didn’t wear my diaper properly before I go to bed and the diaper came loose while I slept.

Walking Relentlessly

February 13th, 2009 by Jayden

Ever since i took that first few steps, i kept walking relentlessly. Of course falls are inevitable.

I lost count of the number of times i fell/knocks. To recount, 1 of the most serious fells are one of which i fell and hit my gum. The same spot was hurt again when i started walking with shoes.

It’s really true that children learns from their falls and knocks/bumps. My walking became more stable now.

Mumbling

February 11th, 2009 by Jayden

Mama wondered how many words or objects i know of. I’m able to point to objects that Mama/Papa named. E.g. ball, clock, bus, aeroplane, etc.

We have been especially busy during rides in cars/buses. I will point to buses, cranes and mixers and demanded Mama/Papa to say the names of the objects. I will keep pointing to the objects with ‘huh huh’ sounds until the objects are named. That really filled our rides with fun and laughters. =)

However, when it comes to calling Papa and Mama, i’m still mumbling. Give it some more time man!

First Step

February 10th, 2009 by Jayden

I took my first few steps today without any support. :D

Here’s a video of me walking supported and unsupported. I enjoyed pushing furnitures, both at home and outside. Haha.

First Trip

January 11th, 2009 by Jayden

My first trip to Marina Barrage…

The wind was extremely strong. Just look at messy Mama’s hair. Though it was a cloudy day, there were people flying kites. Look at the sixth photo. I was telling Mama abt the kites in the sky. Shortly, we played at the water fountains. Water has always been my best “playmate”. I love playing with water in my bath, swimming pool, etc. Look at how happy i was. :)

*WARNING. Image intensive!*

I love this funny song!

January 4th, 2009 by Jayden

Feist Sesame Street 1234

One, two, three, four
monsters walking ‘cross the floor
I love counting, counting to the number four

Oh you counting, counting with me
to one less than five, and one more than three

Oh, Oh, Oh, we’re counting to four
Oh, Oh, Oh, let’s count some more

One, two, three, four
penguins that went by the door
I love counting, counting to the number four

I see four here, I see four there
favorite number, nothing can compare

Oh, Oh, Oh we’re counting to four
Oh, Oh, Oh let’s count some more

One, two, three, four
chickens just back from the shore
I love counting, counting to the number four

Oh, Oh, Oh we’re counting to four
Oh, Oh, Oh lets count some more

One, two, three, four
chickens just back from the shore

One, two, three, four
penguins that went by the door

One, two, three, four
monsters walking ‘cross the floor

balm balm balm balm (repeat 2x)
Ohhh
counting to four
Ohhh (repeat 2x)
counting to four (repeat 3x)

Utter Chaos!

December 9th, 2008 by Jayden

I think these 2 words best describe our life right now!

Things are good but always crazy at home. Mama spent most of the morning cleaning the house, clearing the mess created by little Jayden and we can’t even tell in the afternoon – it looks like Mama hasn’t lifted her fingers in a month.

Haha.. Life is full of fun!

Our Toddler!

December 6th, 2008 by Jayden

I’m officially a toddler now! I’ve grown from a little baby (2.5kg) to a toddler (9kg). I’m 72cm. Bet. 25-50 percentile. -_-”

I’m starting to take small steps while holding onto furniture. I’m following Mama whenever she goes. I like to move about and open drawers, explore new things. It’s time to baby proof the house, Papa/Mama!

Btw, i can clap very well now too! =p

p/s: It’s being a while since we last blog. Mama almost forgot the password. haha. =)

HaPpY BiRtHdAY to ME!

December 5th, 2008 by Jayden

Yeah! Today is my 1st birthday!!!! :D

My day started off with a visit to Dr Lee. Routine checkup to ensure i’m growing well. Had 2 jabs too. Pneumococcal and Hep A. Dr Lee commented that my pain threshold is v. high. Cos i did not let out any cry at all.

We had a birthday lunch celebration at 外婆’s place. Yiyi bought a yam cake from Angie Choice. I have a few mouthful of cakes. I laughed happily when they sang the birthday song.

Then, we went back to Arab St. Had another round of celebration with my ‘friends’ – Neighbour Aunties and Uncles. 阿公 bought a walnut cake this time round. haha… My friends gathered and sung me the birthday song. haha… =)

We had dinner at Peach Garden – Novena. The servings are small but the food is nice. The room was nicely decorated with balloons and happy birthday signage. I had my share of the outside food (e.g. duck, chicken, fish, beancurd, etc) for the first time. The dinner ended off with a cake from Sweet Recipe.

By the time we finished the cake, i started feeling sleepy. Papa sped home and i had a nice sweet sleep. Zzzzz…..

What an eventful day! Thanks, Papa & Mama for everything! =)

REC Jayden!

November 8th, 2008 by Jayden

Mama and Yiyi brought me to a professional haircut at Suntec today. Wow! When we reached there, there’s a long queue! Finally when it’s my turn to cut my hair, i started feeling sleepy. Oops!! Mama sensed my restlessness.

It started off smoothly as i was distracted by the toys and sweets. However, i slowly felt discomfort on the areas that was shaved. My skin turned red. I started to throw tantrums.

The hair stylist acted fast. Brought a piano toy to distract me. However, she didn’t manage to stop my tantrums. I pushed her away and shifted myself off the seat. I opened my arms for Mama to carry me. However, the hair stylist prevented Mama to carry me as she is almost done with the haircut. The crying continued for another 10 secs and it’s finally over. Phew!

Conclusion: Kids do not necessarily not cry at expensive hair salon.

Jayden still isn’t sleeping through the night!

November 7th, 2008 by Jayden

There have been past occasions that you slept through the night (i.e. when Papa turned on the air con, routine bedtimes activities, etc). However, these 2 weeks, you had been waking up numerous times at night. Sometimes due to hunger, sometimes due to play and your cold. There was a few times you woke up at 3am and played in your cot till 5am. Your new found skill (standing up on your own) must have kept you active at night since you are only able to practise it at home.

Mama believed the teething has caused you to wake up too. Noticed that you sucked your thumb and drooled whenever a new teeth developed.

Hope this challenging stage will pass soon…-_-”
