Jayden’s Playground

That’s me smiling widely in the middle of my feed. Mama had to stop the feeding for a while, wait for me to finish smiling before continuing the feeding. hahaha… ^.^

I don’t like to be alone for too long when i’m awake. After getting tired of playing with my hands and trying to get them into the mouth, i will cry to get Mama’s attention.

We had many rounds of playing sessions today. We took turns to communicate with each other. Our way of communication is taking turns to ‘Ahhhhhgoooo….’. Mama couldn’t help breaking into laughters whenever i replied her.

I like to tour around my house and look at colorful picture books. Mama will play musical songs to me too. I can hold both of my hands together nowadays.

I like to show off my new skill of blowing through my lips by blowing bubbles.

I don’t seemed to be keen in playing Peek-A-Boo! Mama got to keep trying.

Feeding time has been smoother after we changed the teat, with occasional grunts. I have been taking 90ml milk for quite some time. Papa and Mama tried to increase my milk intake by slowly increasing the milk to 100ml, 120ml. However, i did not manage to finish them at times. The quantity that i am currently taking is much lesser compared to a 3 months old.

Jayden, you must take more milk ok?

Mama will be returning to work on 27 Feb, after 84 days of break. I will be taken care of by 婆婆 when Mama goes to work.

This is our planned routine for the weekday:
1. Leave home at 6:30am.
2. Papa drops me off at 婆婆’s place
3. Drive Mama to work
4. Papa goes to his studio.

Depending on what time Papa and Mama knock off, they will come to pick me up after work. Weekday is going to be hectic for them!

Papa, Mama: Please don’t work too late! Come home early to play with me… ^.^

Feeding time has not been easy recently. I’ll push the teat out and grumbled towards the end of almost every feed.

Papa and Mama changed my teat to size 2 and things seemed to have improved slightly. Papa and Mama are looking forward to the times when i can finish all your milk at 1 go.

Papa and Mama are not sure if the grumpy situation is due to my recent needs to put my hands and fingers into my mouth.

I’m smiling so happily when Mama sings ‘Row, Row, Row your boat…’!!!

That’s me trying to swallow my entire hand! My hand coordination is not good yet. Sometimes, i can’t make my hand go into my mouth as i wanted.

It started off with 1 finger.

The moment Papa put me in the Sarong Sling, I fell asleep! ^.^

I was listless and lethargic. My temperature reached 37.7 degree celsius ard noon. Mama fed me paracetamol via a syringe. I had my first taste of plain water too. I furrowed my eyebrows when i took the paracetamol and plain water.

Mama wiped me with cool boiled water several times to ensure my temperature doesn’t go up.

After taking the medicine and sleeping for a few hours, i felt better. Fever has subsided. What a day!

Worried Mama continued to monitor me to ensure I’d fully recovered.

I had my PD checkup today. I’m 5.022kg now. Haha… this is equivalent to 1 packet of rice! =) And also Mt Alvernia always give 4 digits for us to buy 4-d. So funny…

I’m 55cm now. Head circumference is 37.5cm. PD said i’m growing very well.

However, there’s 2 things that Papa and Mama need to take note of.

1. My nose is still blocked. PD advised Papa and Mama not to try to take out the mucus since i’m eating and sleeping well. This is to ensure they won’t cause any distress to me.

I’m making snorting sounds due to the blockage to the small nostril and airway. Let nature takes it course. Mucus, mucus, pls drop out soon!

2. Enzema : PD advised Mama to revert my FM to Nan HA as i’m sensitive to Nan. The red patches on my face is due to the sensitivity to Nan FM.

I had my rotavirus & 5in1 vaccines too. I was very brave. Made a little cry when the needle was inserted deep into my thigh. After that, Mama coaxed me a little and i calmed down.

I got slightly feverish (37.4 degree celsius) at ard 8pm. Mama wiped me with cool boiled water 3 times over 2hrs and the feverish warmth diminished. Thank you, Mama! I sleep better now…

Mama always says i’ve got pretty eyelashes ^^

This is me! All ready to go and collect Ang Bao. To support my education expenses!!! hehehe… ^.^

Papa, Mama, Are you ready??? I’m getting bored…

I seemed to be very grumpy in unfamiliar environment. When Papa and Mama brought me to 婆婆’s place at Arab Street, i became grumpy. Most likely overwhelmed by the many faces and loud laughters that our relatives made. After several minutes of fussing and grunting, i finally dozed off in my pram.

The same thing happened when Mama brought me to 3rd Uncle’s house at Punggol. The same thing happened. I cried uncontrollably. Poor Mama had to pat me and carried me around the house to calm me down.

Mama: Guess Jayden is frustrated b’cos your sleeping time is disrupted by the loud noises??? You don’t seemed to like the bed in 婆婆’s and 3rd Uncle’s house. Think you still prefer to sleep in your own pram. Look at how funny your hands were when you sleep! You must be very tired.

This is 婆婆 carrying Jayden so that Mama can take a short rest.

This is my first time celebrating Chinese New Year! I wish everyone a happy and prosperous Chinese New Year!

I’m 2 months old!!!

These are the things that i can do:

1. I make funny baby sounds now, including hums, coos and gurgles. Ahhhh…. Ooooo….
2. I sleep longer hours at night. After the night feeding at ard 6-7pm, i can sleep all the way till 4-5am. Lucky Papa and Mama! I still need to be fed every 3hrs in the day though.
3. I’m learning how to rock and roll. I can maneuver from my back to my side and my side to my back. Hopefully i can do the complete roll over on my tummy soon.
4. My jerky arm and leg movements are getting smoother.
5. I can hold the rattle for a short while.
6. I’m more responsive!
